Over the years, Bollywood has seen its share of tragedy. Here are some of the mysterious deaths of Indian celebrities that shocked the entire earth:
Nafisa Joseph
The top model & famous MTV VJ, reportedly hanged herself in her residence in Mumbai on July 29, 2004.
Nafisa Joseph was the winner of Femina Miss India world 1997 & the finalist of Miss world 1997 pageant in Miami. Her wedding was called off a weeks previous to her death when she found out her husband — Indian businessman Gautam Khanduja — had lied to her regarding his first marriage.
Parveen Babi
The first Bollywood star to grace the cover of Time Magazine in 1976 was establish dead in her home on 22nd January, 2005.
Parveen featured in a number of Bollywood blockbusters all through the ’70s & ’80s. The actress had been living an remote life for many years prior to her death.
No one knows for certain whether she committed suicide or if she died a natural death. She was supposed to be suffering from paranoid schizophrenia as an effect of which she supposed some people — including Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan — of conspiring to kill her.
A post-mortem story suggested that she might have starved to death.
Jiah Khan
The 25-year-old starlet committed suicide on 3rd June , 2013 in Mumbai. During interrogations, her mother exposed that Jiah Khan had left behind a six-page note expressing how she was being stressed & tortured mentally
Her relations alleged that her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi — who made his entrance with Hero this year — triggered the actress to consign suicide. Sooraj Pancholi was arrested & booked on the charge of abatement to suicide.
Afterward, forensic reports confirmed that Jiah was under the power of alcohol when she hanged herself.
A failed association or a dying career were said to have played a part in Jiah’s sad end.
