5 Ridiculous Examples Of Censorship In Bollywood
5 Ridiculous Examples Of Censorship In Bollywood
1) Tamasha
The newest example of ludicrous censorship is Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha. Not just did the Censors reduce the period of a kissing scene, but they too censored the word S..li! If you are wondering what that word is, it’s the undamaging SAALI! There, we said it; Censors!
2) Kaminey
The line: ‘Dil dildaara mera ’ from the chartbuster Dhan Te Nan was accused of being casteist, as ‘Teli’ is a standing in the Indian civilization. As a result of which, the word had to be beeped out of the song! Are you still serious?
3) Dum Laga Ke Haisha
Though the word Lesbian was muted in the movie, ‘Haraamkhor’ had to be replaced with ‘Kathor!’ Oh Censors, why you be so Kathor?
4) Badmashiyaan
This movie took a truly bad hit from the Censor Board! Not only did Badmashiyaan endure 5 cuts, apart from a U/A certification, but stupid words like Kuttey, Kaminey, Arse, Pichwaada, Haramkhor (Oh, the Censors love to hatred this word) were beeped out! What are you up to, guys?
5) No One Killed Jessica
The song ‘Aali Re’ had to be released with a beeped utterance. & it was the ever-so-shocking, very harmful ‘Kamini.’ We’ll go away it at that.
