7 Bollywood movies That Are Banned In Pakistan

It seems that while it comes to banning films, our neighbours are not so dissimilar from us finally! So here are some Bollywood movies which are banned in Pakistan, a lot to our surprise!

1) Chennai Express Even although Shahrukh’s fan base is no lesser in Pakistan, his Chennai Express was banned for a little time, so that 4 movies could be released on Eid. Now that’s unfair!

2)  Agent Vinod The main difficulty that Pakistan had with Agent Vinod was that the movie portrayed Pakistani High Officials & Spies supporting the Taliban society. Well, looking at its box office performance, you absolutely did not miss out on much, neighbors!

3) Ek Tha Tiger The film’s plot of “ISI vs RAW” was amazing the Pakistani did not agree with. The Pakistani Censor Board indefinitely bans movies which deal with terrorism & as a result of this rule, Salman & Katrina’s flick was not showcased in Pakistan.

4) Bhaag Milkha Bhaag This superhit Indian National Award winning movie was not showcased in Pakistan as the film actually portrays the Partition & Pakistan in a bad light.

5) The Dirty Picture A movie which released in India with an ‘A’ Certificate was bound to run into problem in Pakistan, especially keeping their conventional thoughts in mind. & rightly, Vidya Balan’s oomph was also much for the Pakistani Censor Board to handle, & the Dirty Picture was never showcased in Pakistan.

6) Khiladi 786 Bollywood’s acknowledged Akshay Kumar couldn’t work his magic on Pakistan, because Pakistani Government couldn’t move beyond the name of the film. According to the Pakistani Government, the number 786 is a sacred number & its friendship with a comedy film was offensive. Don’t worry Pakistan, the movie was equally offensive!

7) Jab Tak Hain Jaan The film ran into troubled waters as quickly as the trailer was released in Pakistan. A few of the dialogues against the Pak Army caused lots of outrage. But thanks to Shahrukh’s fan following & Yash Chopra’s clout, the film was finally screened in Pakistan!

Fine, as forever, we’d say that censoring something is not the solution. It not only creates more murmur for the movies, but it too adds to the dismay of fans who are looking for some actually good entertainment!
