Disappeared are the days when getting married used to be one of the major concerns for Indian girl as soon as they reached early 20s. Different what most Indian cinema still show us, not lots of Indian women have "getting married" as the only objective of their lives. Pretty, a lot of young Indian women today prefer to postpone this process as greatly as possible.
Well, it is not now the things, like tolerant society, financial liberty, etc., which have wrought this mindset, but there lots of other issues related to wedding that make them somewhat worried. 1. Loss of freedom
A lot of women believe that turn over the time they are single, they are free to do anything they want. &, the things will change one time they get married. The fear that none of their plans will ever be made not including wondering about what their husband or in-laws will say, just instils the anti-marriage thoughts in their mind.
2. The big change
We all know that adapting to a change is not easy for a majority of people, and no one wants to come out of their comfort zone. So, how can women be any different? That is why, the mere thoughts of changing homes  , family, entire lifestyle, etc., gives them a awful headache. Well, isn't that a real reason to be scared of wedding?

3. No more pampering
The pampering & care that a girl gets from her mother is one of the top things that can happen to her. & possibly it is this love only, which makes the women think that getting wedded is not really a great idea as they would then have to leave this pampering behind. also,  even reminders from their mothers saying things similar to "your mother-in-law will not stand your bad temper like I do", is simply enough to freak them exposed.
4. Maintaining the 'Marriage procedure
Post their wedding, the life of an Indian lady is filled with the hope, like have kids, take care of them, save for their culture, etc. &, since the women today want to go after the ‘my life, my choice' mantra, these reasons simply put them in a distrust if at all they should get wedded.
5. Promise phobia
Yes, men are not the just ones who fear commitment. Women also have their own set of friendship fears. What if it is now an infatuation , what if effects don't work out", & a lot of more such "what ifs", force women to guide their thoughts away from wedding.
6. Vocation dilemma
Most of the girls think that getting married means an end to their ambitions & vocation plans. This stands true at least in the situations where the woman has to leave her city, because she might not get the job in a new place directly. &, no one likes a stop or crack in the career for which they have worked so hard.
7. Added household tasks
The responsibilities of a woman change & increase manifolds after wedding. Most of them have to take care of various effects, like cooking, cleaning, & other household tasks. 
8. Settling with whole family
In India, marriages unite not just two people, but also their personal families. Generally, there comes a list of new relatives, whom the women have to deal with once they get married. &, even if they dislike them, they have to imagine just the opposite of what they feel. What’s extra? She suddenly turns into somebody’s bhabhi, chachi,Mami ,fufa & many more. It is not just these new relations that scares her, but the adjustments that she would have to make with an whole set of new group after marriage.

9. Changing identity
In India, women are silent expected to change their surname after marriage. & in certain communities, they still have to change their first name. This can be quite an issue for lots of women. It is concerning the change of identity that they have lived with for their whole life, which bothers them extra than anything else.
