Box Office: UNEXPECTED Drop In SRK’s Dilwale First Monday Collection

Bollywood movie ‘Dilwale’ starring Shah Rukh Khan had a superior weekend but has dropped lower than probable on first Monday. The movie had a splendid growth on Sunday which leads the Monday drop of 55% approx as a distress. Since ‘Dilwale’ is sharing the commerce with ‘Bajirao Mastani’, it has to be extremely steady over the weekdays to cover up for the vanished business over the weekend. With such a vast drop it is hard to say if any amazing numbers can be expected. The movie collected Rs. 9.5 crores net approx (Rs. 95 million) on its first Monday which is very fewer compared to the Sunday compilation.

 Movie ‘Dilwale’ got a collection of Rs. 21.55 crores net approx Rs. 215 million on its first day which is a very good amount despite the clash with ‘Bajirao Mastani’. On the next day there was a drop in compilation as the movie got Rs 19.60 crores net approx (Rs. 196 million). The movie collected Rs. 23 crores net approx on Sunday & with Monday compilation of Rs. 9.5 crores net approx (Rs. 95 million) making the present total to Rs. 73.5 crores net approx (Rs.735 million) later than its first weekend. The movie has though achieved a milestone in terms of its universal weekend business.

The opening week business of ‘Dilwale’ is expected to be around 95 crores net approx which is too a figure that seems sensible given the fall on Monday. The movie is though doing wonders abroad with Gulf region getting the largest collection for any Bollywood film of all time. The movie has also entered the list of uppermost opening weekend worldwide 2015 after ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ &‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. In terms of global figures the movie is heading steady towards the 200 crore mark. once more due to the ‘Dilwale’ VS ‘Bajirao Mastani’ clash the movies had to share their business and if the same did not occur, the collections would have been superior.
