Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says the Hindi film industry may be driven by the star scheme, but the audience now chooses its ‘stars’ based on their presentation. Asked how significant is the star system in Bollywood, King khan said here: “If in IPL , we don’t have stars, unknown will watch it. So, you have to have stars for populace to choose movies.
“ Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a star, but, if he doesn’t perform well for 3 times, everybody starts abusing him. So, presentation is very important. I think star system is significant, or else by this occasion, our movies would have come to an end.”
The 50-year-old, whose next movie is the big ticket Dilwale, says he feels fortunate that at his age, he’s getting to play roles as romantic since the ones he essayed when he was in his 20s. ”previous at 40, a hero was not a hero any longer. So, Salman Khan & I were talking the other day that god has been therefore kind to us that we are 50, & we are still doing the same thing as we did when we were 25.
“It’s a large thing for us,” said the actor, who will be seen romancing with kajol in the Rohit Shetty directorial. Releasing on 18th December , the film too features Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Boman
