 Karan Johar's Shuddhi is in news since its inception. previous it was announced that Hrithik Roshan & Kareena Kapoor will play the lead roles in the film but later Salman was finalised. While Salman Khan said 'No' to the film Varun Dhawan & Alia Bhatt were roped in. Other than according to recent reports, Karan Johar has lastly dropped the project. 

 Talking about Shuddhi, a source told median Day, '' "No work has been done on the movie. It has gone through many casting changes & every time a new actor came on slat, the script had to be reworked to suit their character.'' The source further added, ''Apart from that, KJo wasn't also confident about handing the directorial stick to Karan Malhotra since the latter's last film didn't do well."

"Varun Dhawan, who had stopped signing movies to focus on Shuddhi, is now scouring for challenging scripts, indicating that the movie has been shelved. He is currently busy with other projects - his brother Rohit Dhawan's Dishoom to be followed by a criminal flick. Alia Bhatt, also, will shortly begin shooting with Shahrukh Khan for Gauri Shinde's next," exposed the source. 

When Karan Johar was asked to remark on Shuddi in the past during an event, the movie-maker had said, "OMG,  I am folding my hands & bowing down to you all, stop asking me questions about 'Shuddhi'. I don't know what kind of bad omen the film is going through, I am not able to make it."
