Comedian Kiku Sharda, who is popularly identified for his role of ‘Palak’ in Comedy Nights With Kapil, has been allegedly arrested for hurting spiritual sentiments of self-claimed Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
According to information, Ram Rahim Singh’s followers filed a case against Kiku Sharda later than he mimicked Singh in the most accepted comedy show, ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’, which was aired on Dec 27.

The show has done parody of lots of, but this one went way too serious & caused a trouble for Kiku Sharda. The case was filed next to Kiku on 1st January , but the actor was arrested on Wednesday after he came house from late night shoots.
He was taken to Aarey Police Station, Mumbai & from there he was taken to Delhi & reportedly from there he will be taken to Haryana for further investigations. It is said that Kiku Sharda apologized for mimicking later than Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s followers protested next to him. In his apology, Kiku too mentioned that it was a coincident & that he didn’t intend to mimic on Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. But his regret didn’t make any dissimilarity; they went ahead to file a case against him.

Making it obvious on the incident, Kiku Sharda , told Hindustan Times, “I have a lot of admiration for Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singhji. The look [on the show] wasn’t on purpose; it now happened to match [Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s look]. We didn’t plan it as a send-up on him. It’s a coincidence, & it is unfortunate. I am sorry that public felt hurt. We never try to do any such thing purposely, or try to get headlines out of it, or want populace to talk about our show in this way. There is nothing more to it.”
