We Bet !7 TV Shows You Didn’t Know Were Inspired

If you thought that ‘inspirations’ were partial to movies & songs, you are in for a nasty shock!

1) Zabaan Sambhalke
This rib-tickling sequence, starring Pankaj Kapoor, was a babyhood favourite for a lot of of us. But sadly, it was ripped off the British sitcom ‘Mind Your Language!’ lots of of the characters & even situations were straight-up lifted from the unique series.
 2) Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi
The plot of this superhit series produced by Ekta Kapoor, the ‘Queen of Indian Soaps’, bears doubtful similarities to the plot of the British drama series ‘Wuthering Heights’. How concerning a new soap, Ekta, ‘Kopy Kats?’
 3) Ek Hasina Thi
This TV show, which just ran for a season, was in fact ‘heavily inspired’ from ABC’s superhit sequence Revenge. But as ‘karmic justice,’ Ek Hasina Thi couldn’t even approach close to the colossal achievement achieved by the unique series, which received several awards & tons of ratings on TV.
 4) Yudh
Yep, still Amitabh Bachchan’s debut TV sequence, has been accused of bearing close resemblance to the plots of not one, but 2 TV series! The plot of Yudh is shockingly alike to that of American TV series Boss, & also to that of Breaking Bad.
 5) Kumkum Bhagya
The ‘Kopy Kats’ create for another entry in this list since Kumkum Bhagya has too been accused of being extremely similar to the British mini-series, Sense & Sensibility.
 6) Sumit Sambhal Lega
Sumit Sambhal Lega, which is an bureaucrat adaptation of everyone Loves Raymond, has a plot that is related to the 90s superhit comedy show ‘Tu Tu Main Main’.
 7) Quantico
Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico, which is receiving rave reviews all over the world, is too mired with allegations of derivative content. In fact, the show’s creator Mark Gordon has been slapped with a court case alleging that the show was lifted off a 1999 documentary aired on CNN. Here’s hoping for the most excellent, Priyanka Chopra!

But hey, come to think of it, so a lot of of our Indian audience got a taste of international encoding, thanks to our not-so-original creators! #SilverLining
