Oops! First Day First Show: Comedy Nights Live? Or Dead!

So the recent past marked the launch episode of the newborn Comedy Nights Live! Well, or what the canal refers to as Kapil's show Comedy Nights With Kapil's competition. And did it prickle your funny bone? We say, partially Yes! Although it wasn't easy for fans to suddenly accept seeing Krushna Abhishek in place of Kapil! One was expecting Kapil Sharma to make his sudden usual entry from the ordinary door, welcoming the audiences & Siddhu Paaji in his classic style. Yes, Kapil Sharma was present on the sets, but just in the form of a name. 
It wasn't easy for audience to visualize Mika Singh taking over
Siddhu ' s royal black lead. The first half of the show saw some forced one-liners followed by a little fake audience laughter. Though Krushna tried his best in making it look usual but Kapil is Kapil! 

A steady reminder of how the old tenants had to leave and Pappu Singh was the new occupant, of how Krushna & team are better than Kapil Sharma made the punches fall flat! New characters like a Gujarati exasperating neighbour, Mangala & Sudesh Lehri as Krushna 's father were introduced. Although both are amazing comedians, but could not match up to the air of Pankhuri or Bittu's father-in-law, let unaccompanied Palak & Gutthi. Probably, the just good part of yesterday's episode was the gorgeous Madhuri Dixit, who floored the audiences with her latkas & adaas . 

The second part of the show saw Bharti's entry as Bittus ' son. The show selected up from there. The lady, in her famous child -like avatar made the spectators laugh out loud. With her innocence & perfect comic timing, the show started to look interesting from herein. It won't be incorrect if one says Bharti was the man of the match in the First episode of the new show. The passing of comments on audiences & making Mika's laughter sound funny could not match up to Comedy Nights with Kapil charm. purposely reminding why Krushna is better than Kapil & how this show is more promising than the earlier one , made it worse! Overall although a good try, but matching up to the standard created by Kapil Sharma is going to be one big difficult task for Comedy Nights Live! For a change, there was none Thoko Taali , no jokes on Manju's lips, no hilarious foreword by Gutthi, no one to kiss the guests & no one to make insults look so subtle & funny! We couldn't help but say, We miss you, Bittu Sharma & family!
