Pratyusha Suicide Case: Police records the statement of Saloni Sharma, former girlfriend of Rahul

Actress Pratyusha Banerjee suicide case is turning out to be quite murky. As per a fresh statement to the Bangur Nagar police, actress Saloni Sharma has allegedly blamed Pratyusha Banerjee for the rift in their relationship.

Saloni Sharma who reportedly worked on &TV’s Jai Santoshi Maa was allegedly the previous girlfriend of producer-actor Rahul Raj Singh. The woman blamed Pratyusha Banerjee for coming in between them.

According to police information, around 15 persons identified to the actress have been interrogated so far. They are recognized to the couple. Friends, relatives, society members & Banerjee’s maid have given their declaration. Saloni Sharma’s name cropped up during the questioning. Several of them had alleged that once she barged inside Pratyusha Banrejee’s flat & abused the couple. Police Inspector Deepak Phatangare interrogated Sharma, who said that Pratyusha was her friend since four years.
A police inspector was quoted as saying, “Sharma has told the police that pratyusha was once a very good friend & blamed her for distancing Rahul Raj Singh from her. As per Sharma, because of Pratyusha her relationship with Rahul had got bitter.”
Pratyusha  committed suicide on 1st  April by hanging herself from her Goregaon residence. Rahul found her at around 4pm & took her to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on influx. Since then, Rahul has been admitted to a private hospital bad tempered of chest pain, depression & suicidal tendencies. The police has filed a case next to him under sections 306 (abetment to suicide), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to incite breach of the peace), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) & 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian punitive Code.
