Imtiaz Ali‘s Tamasha starring Deepika Padukone & Ranbir Kapoor won   lots of critical appreciation. Although, we have learnt that Deepika Padukone wasn’t the first choice for this film.
Open Magazine freshly revealed that Anushka Sharma was the first choice for the film but she thought the role wasn’t “meaty” sufficient for her.

As poorly as she wanted to work with Ali, the role didn’t impress her at all. It wasn’t long enough as it was first and foremost Ranbir Kapoor’s film.

This is when Deepika Padukone stepped in & Each the critical acclaim went to her as well. Anushka & Ranbir were first seen in Bombay Velvet together & will now be seen in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
