Born on Dec 24, 1959, Anil Kapoor lived in a chawl in Mumbai. His dad Surinder Kapoor was secretary to Shammi Kapoor & afterward a film producer. The relatives is related to Bollywood’s memorable Kapoor khandaan. Anil Kapoor made his debut in Hamare Tumhare in 1979, & later starred in Shakti along with Dilip Kumar & Amitabh Bachchan. A few movies later, Anil acted in Tamil director Mani Ratnam‘s Pallavi Anu Pallavi.

But his opening lead role in Bollywood came in Woh 7 Din in the same year. Making a mark in the film with his heartwarming performance, the superstar went on to do a variety of roles in his career spanning lots of decades.
