They were most loved couple onscreen. With Aashiqui 2, Aditya Roy Kapur & Shraddha Kapoor gained direct super stardom & the film’s success at the box office made them one of the newest jodis of the year. But there was more to their onscreen chemistry, Aditya & Shraddha were too off screen lovers. There’s was a love story that had lots of ups and downs, started off on a uneven note, had a good run, but the end wasn’t that rosy. Aditya & Shraddha didn’t get along well while they started working together. They both came from different backgrounds & had opposite likes & dislikes. He was an introvert, media shy, a hermit who didn’t like to interact with the push unless he had a film. She on the other hand was outgoing, full with energy, wanting to do different things. Their romance took several time to blossom, as both were seeing dissimilar people and had come out of those relationships while they met.
Though, once the sparks kindled & the hearts sang a similar tune, there was no separating these two. Aditya Roy was often spotted at Shraddha’s house & vice-versa. They even took off for covert vacations away from the prying eyes of the media. But there were quite a few problems in their relationship. It seems that Shraddha’s family never approved of Aditya Roy Kapoor. Her mom was of the opinion that he was also much of a distraction for her & that Shraddha’s career was just taking off & a relationship would only add more burden to it.

Aditya’s family on the other hand was fairly fond of Shraddha & his sister-in-law Vidya Balan has often spoken fondly of her. But things couldn’t move in front unless both the families approved of this connection. Regular friends reveal that the two too had several fights during the course of this epoch when things became uncomfortable and ugly. While their relationship status as of now is “on a break”, their friends don’t dissuade the thought that there might be a reconciliation in the near prospect. Neither of them have moved on to a new lover, so maybe Aditya - Shraddha will reconcile their differences & reignite their love ?
