Television is for masses, has more reach than movies: Rashami Desai

  Popular TV actress Rashami Desai feels the small screen is for masses as it has far
greater reach than the movies.
With big stars like Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor doing television shows like “Yudh” & “24” respectively, Rashami Desai thinks it is a healthy tendency.
“TV is for masses and it has more reach than movies. It is a nice transition…of big stars like Anil
Kapoor, Big B  bringing in episodic like “24” & “Yudh”,” Rashmi told PTI.
Rashami Desai is elated with the reply that her character Preeti is getting in the show “Adhuri Kahaani Humari”.
“As an artist I have never done any negative roles, therefore it was challenging for me to play such roles. I like to keep experimenting. There will be  lots of surprises for the audience. I hope they be grateful for my effort,” Rashami said.
The “Uttaran” actress reveals that throughout her meeting with the makers of the show, she was given the orientation of Hollywood film “Gone Girl”.
“loveliness with brains is a rare grouping among girls and this is something like that. I am extremely fortunate to play this character. I’m sure there are so lots of actresses in the industry who would love to play such a role,” Rashami Desai said.
Usually, actresses playing unhelpful characters on screen have a loud appearance. But, Rashami Desai is happy that her character is not like that.
“I wear sarees but they are simple & classy,” she said.
“Adhuri Kahaani Hamari” deals with the thought of rebirth for the sake of love. The show is aired on and television.
