After sweeping lots of awards at the famous awards, Amitabh Bachchan has won the Best Actor title at the 63rd National Awards for his luminous performance in movie Shoojit Sircar’s Piku. Along with Big B, Kangana Ranaut also won the Best Actress award for Aanand L Rai’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns. After winning the award, newsBollywood Team got in touch with Kangana Ranaut to congratulate the actress on her victory.
Kangana shared that she now congratulated Big B on winning the National Award. Kangana Ranaut said, I was just exchanging messages with Mr Amitabh Bachchan congratulating him on the win. I am extremely fond of him & he was also the first to wish me on my birthday this year. I got my first call from him. I call him ‘Mahanayak’ & it will be a very happy instant for me to share the red carpet & a photo with him. His performance in Piku was one of the most of all times & I am still in awe of him.”
In an elite chat with us, the Tanu Weds Manu Returns babe spoke concerning how she felt upon receiving the award. The actress said, “It is a huge credit to win the National Award. You get it from the President of India & it is a big moment for me. There no TRPs, there is no fascia, there is nothing to gain from any person, it is just a moment where the someone is made to feel deserving. You don’t have to dance on stage or please anybody, the award is from the Government of India & there is a lot of respect & prestige attached to it. You can’t buy respect, you have to earn it. different other awards where you have to be part of Bollywood royals, the National Awards are given to anyone who is deserving. It doesn’t stuff what your last name is or whey are friends with.”
