According to a details in newsbollywood.com, a source told, "Deepika Padukone isn't getting back to Ranbir nor is she trying to make any patch up happen between him and Katrina Kaif. There might be a possibility that the two might come jointly for a movie and that was being discussed among them. There is no possibility of Deepika Padukone intervening or playing a mediator for Ranbir and Katrina."

The basis too added, " Ranveer Singh has nothing to worry. In fact Deepika - Ranveer Singh are as good as being full of activity. Both their families are very fond of each-other & there is no scope for an ex-lover issue cropping up to harm their equation.
