1. Adarsh Women’s College, Haryana
Four girls were charged Rs 100 fine for presence classes in jeans. The principal of the college, Alaka Sharma, said that they flouted the clothes code. This happened in 2012 but it’s the same story there nowadays as well. Girls are just allowed to wear white salwar kameez on Mondays & colorful ones for the rest of the week. With the changing times, college establishment allowed jeans with long kurtas but those girls were wearing jeans with T-shirts. Well, the dress code was implement in 1970 & it’s hilarious as well as unpleasant that they are still living in that era.

2. RMD College of Engineering
Blogger Kiruba Shankar shared his experience on FB about this college, at what time he was there to transport a talk on free enterprise but was asked to change into formal trousers previous to the session. No one is allowed to wear jeans here. It is said that not still student’s parent can come here in jeans!

3. Barmer, Rajasthan
A decree was issued by a khap panchayat in Barmer that imposed a ban on girls wearing jeans & using cell-phones. They have also asked bridegrooms not to be dressed in dhotis on their marriage days and has banned DJs from performing in functions.

4. Muslim Educational Society , Kozhikod
A clothes code has been compulsory on the students by the Muslim Educational Society. Under this, students are just allowed to wear salwar kameez, churidar, & an overcoat. Muslim students are too asked to wear a dark grey maftaor head scarf.

5. Sri Sairam College of Engineering, Chennai

The dress code of this college, aristocratic ‘big No for Girls’, went viral on the internet. Girls are asked not to wear leggings, tight pants & tops, there was too a ban on short kurtas, loose hair, & even large dial designer watches.

6. Scottish Church College, Kolkata
The important college generated a dress code which allows a below-knee length skirt for girls & no kind of jewelry for boys. at what time questioned, they said this is to uphold a proper atmosphere in the college.
