With the current death of actor Sanjit Bedi aka Dr. Omi from “Sanjeevani” there has been a wave of sorrow across the TV industry.
though Bedi was pain from a brain illness & had been in coma for a whilst, his loss has come as a shock for his family & friends.
Actor Karanvir Bohra says that imagining him to be quiet & not being there will be strange.
Sanjit Bedi is survived by his wife.
though the industry is still trying to cope up with his loss, there have been other celebs as well whose unexpected death took away the industry, both big & small screen, with total shock:

Rubina Shergill



Rubina, generally known for her performance in Zee TV’s “Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein” as ‘Inspector Simran Kaushik’ passed away on 23 Dec 2011 in Mumbai.
Shergill was suffering from asthma & had a severe attack on the sets past which she was rushed to the hospital. She slipped into coma throughout treatment & eventually breathed her last in December 2011.

Jaspal Bhatti

Previously known as the ‘king of comedy’, Jaspal was famed for taking up common man’s issues caustically. An actor, a director & a producer, one of Bhatti’s most illustrious shows was the Tv series ‘Flop Show’.
Bhatti died on 25th Oct 2012 in a car accident near Jalandhar, presently one day before the release of his movie ‘Power Cut’. He is survived by his wife Savita Bhatti, son Jasraj & daughter Raabiya.

Abir Goswami

Abir passed away on 31st May, 2013 at the age of 38 years. Abir died of a very big heart attack while he was on a treadmill in the gym. It is said the he had stiff heart disease.
The actor worked in serials like, Hotel Kingston, Yahan Main Ghar-Ghar Kheli, Pyar Ka Dard, Kumkum, etc & in a few movies as well.

Vivek Shauq

Viviek, who was a noted actor & a comedian, died on 10th Jan 2011 due to heart attack.
Shauq had worked in different Hindi & Punjabi movies beside with diverse TV serials, theatre & TV commercial.
He is survived by his wife & 3 children.

Jiah Khan



Jiah made her entrance in the B-town in 2007 with Ram Gopal Verma’s ‘Nishabd’. She had worked in diverse films including ‘Ghajini’ & ‘Housefull’ & got an occasion to work with stars like Amimtabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar & Aamir Khan.
Jiah Khan was found dead in her level in Juhu, Mumbai on 3rd June, 2015. While the reports claims that it was a suicide & that Jiah hanged herself, her mother supposed that she was murdered by her boyfriend Suraj Pancholi as he abetted her to entrust suicide.
Nirmal Pandey

Nirmal was generally known for his role as Vikram Mallah in outlaw Queen. He died at the age of 47 from a heart attack on 18th Feb, 2010 in Mumbai.

Silk Smitha

Silk was Tollywood actress who entered the production as an superfluous actress. She was first noticed for her role because "Silk" in the 1979 Tamil film ‘Vandichakkaram’.
In her 17 years vocation, Silk did over 450 movies in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada & Hindi.
She was known for her dance numbers & her bold performances.
She was found dead in her apartment in Chennai on 23rd Sep, 1996. Even as it is supposed that Silk committed suicide, it is too said that she was going through depression because of her waning career, financial problems, disenchantment in love & an alcohol dependency which resulted in her death.

Ashraf-ul-Haq

A talented actor, Ashraf-ul-Haq, breathed his last on 17th Feb, 2015 in Mumbai. He was suffering from a rare confusion called Myelodysplastic condition & was going through a treatment from 2 years before his death.
Ashraf had worked in more than 30 movies including Deewar, Paan Singh Tomar, Fukrey & Company.
He was survived by his wife & 9-year old son.
