Akshay :‘Airlift’ is a true story that will make you feel proud to be an Indian

Superstar Akshay Kumar, who awaits the release of his next movie ‘Airlift’, has said that the movie will build you feel proud to be an Indian.

“Airlift, Movie a true story that will make you #ProudToBeAnIndian! #Jan22” Akshay Kumar tweeted on his official Twitter page.

The movie is based on the story of the World’s largest mass evacuation of Indians throughout the Iraq-Kuwait war in 1990.


The story of the movie is from the point of view of Akshay’s character who helped Indians obtain airlifted from Kuwait.

The recently released poster of the movie highlights “1,70,000 refugees, 488 flights and 59 days and 1 man”

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, Airlift too stars Nimrat Kaur (as Akshay’s wife) & Purab Kohli (who plays Ibrahim Durani).
It will be Akshay once more during the Republic Day weekend, with yet another thriller later than ‘Baby’. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on 22nd January 2016. It has to be noted that Akshay Kumar movies during Republic Day have forever had strong content, but haven’t gone on to be enormously successful at the box office.

Will he finally be capable to deliver a good movie that goes on to be 100 crore grosser this in January?
