OMG! 7 Indian TV Shows That Copied Shamelessly From The West

We have heard lots about Indian musicians & movie makers “adapting” western ideas, & now here is a little new. Some of the Indian TV shows are also working on western concepts. Here are some of them:

1. Jeannie Aur Juju
Although it has been discontinued now but the entire concept was taken from ‘I Dream Of Jeanie’ & left unchanged. That may be the cause it worked so well.
2. The Suite Life of Karan and Kabir
This illustrate was a version of Disney’s ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ which was a large part of 90s kids. The adaptation couldn’t job that well though!

3. Kum Kum Bhagya

Thus they have started adapting saas bahu serials as well! This TV show, which is a big hit amongst ladies, is a copy of ‘Sense & Sensibility’ which is based on a Jane Austen novel!
4. Khatron Ke Khiladi
A version of ‘Fear Factor’, it started with it’s original name but afterward changed it to ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’.
5. Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin
Mona Singh became a family name after this show which is an version of a Columbian drama called ‘Yo Soy Betty, La Fea’ which was too adapted in USA under the title ‘Ugly Betty’.
6. Comedy Nights With Kapil
The typeset & concept resembles British TV show ‘Kumars at No. 42’. Babaji ka thullu, a great deal?
7. Hello Friends
The show, featuring Nikhil Chinappa, Simone Singh, Mandira Bedi & Anil Dambri,  Cyrus Broacha, Maria Goretti,  as 6 best friends shut down later than 26 episodes after ripping off one of the supreme sitcoms, FRIENDS!
